Art Furniture

Crofcheck's designs are sometimes more like art than furniture. These designs especially show off Crofcheck's talent and vision.

Martini Anyone?

With the "Martini Table", Crofcheck carefully and precisely melds the world of art with the utility of furniture.

The Musical Chair

The chair you see here is more than a chair, it is also a musical instrument.
Its closet kin would be the marimba. The musical chair spans two octaves on its winged arms.
If you've ever been a finger-tapper while you sit, you'll be a natural at it.

It's also a meditation environment. The chair's spine is shaped to cradle and support your
back at multiple points, gently kneading you as you relax into the seat. As you tap out your
thoughts, you feel as well as hear the music you create.

The back and seat are isolated from each other by a cantilevered support, and the hooves are
linked by rubber to the legs of the chair, embellishing its resonance. This chair is crafted
in maple, rosewood, and ebony.

The Bird Hive

The "Bird Hive" utilizes art and craft to provide a "natural" home for a fine feathered friend.

There are some shapes and forms found in nature that are rarely expressed in craft or art.
Though these forms may be difficult to execute mathematically or shape creatively, they have a
beauty and flow easily recognized as unique to the natural world.
